The House Of Love’s original compilation of singles and B-sides, issued in Germany in 1987, make it’s first appearance on vinyl in the UK for Record Store Day

Never before reissued, with an impressive selection of bonus tracks which have never released on vinyl

This exclusive RSD 12′ is released on transparent orange vinyl.Signed by Creation Records in late 1986, THE HOUSE OF LOVE would become one of the most successful, critically acclaimed bands to grace the label. Their eponymous debut album was cited as one of the best albums of 1988 by music magazines and Indie fans alike. To promote the band in Germany in 1987, Creation teamed up with Rough Trade Distribution to release this collection of The House Of Love’s first two singles, ‘Shine On’ and ‘Real Animal’ and B-sides, plus an exclusive track

Somewhat confusingly, this collection was also self-titled! Never re-issued previously on vinyl in its own right and now with an additional B-side ‘The Hill’.The cover photo depicted the original five-piece line- up, singer/songwriter Guy Chadwick with guitarist Terry Bickers, bassist Chris Groothuizen, drummer Pete Evans and third guitarist Andrea Heukamp, who had left by the time of their debut album proper.
