Each generation gives birth to its own disruptor. Like a force of nature, this game-changer descends on pop culture, shakes up perceptions, and dispels everything previously thought to be true. It happened with N.W.A. It happened with Marilyn Manson. It happened with Eminem. Its happening again with XXXTentacionpronounced Eks – Eks – Eks – Ten – Tah – See – Ohn. The 19-year-old Broward County artist bends and breaks genre barriers, stirring together a brew of rap, R&B, punk rock, and metal that snaps without warning from moments of emotional crooning to cathartic screams like the musical equivalent of Wolverine. Up to this point, his story remains just as characteristically wild as his style XXXTentacion associated singing with therapy from a very early age. Born Jahseh D. Onfroy in South Florida with a melting pot of Jamaican, Syrian, and Italian heritage, he vividly recalls the cathartic.

Actress delivered his mix for RA in June and it was suprisingly all new and exclusive Actress music. When asked if this was a new album, Actress aka Darren S.Cunningham simply answered that “it’s a collage -Braque”. Whatever you call this, a mix, a mixtape, a collage/braque, a new album , what it is, is another Actress statement. Actress grows music. Completely unconcerned with what it is, with what format it is or what it’s defined as.

Surprise fourth studio album from Beak>! Please note: this album will ship from Friday 31st May.

A new Beak> album might not come around often, but when it does, it always seems to capture a specific moment in time, a new set of elegies for the present moment. With the surprise announcement and release of >>>>, Beak> deliver another taste of a different moment, suspended in stasis and simultaneously rushing towards the vanishing point on the horizon.

“The recording and writing initially began in a house called Pen Y Bryn in Talsarnau, Wales in the fall out from the weirdness of the Covid days. Remote and with only ourselves and the view of Portmeirion in the distance we got to work. With the opening track, “Strawberry Line” (our tribute to our dear furry friend Alfie Barrow, who appears on the albums cover) as the metronomic guide for the album, we then resumed recording, as before, at Invada studios in Bristol, whilst still touring around Europe and North/South America. After playing hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years we felt that touring had started to influence our writing to the point we werent sure who we were anymore. So we decided to go back to the origins of where we were at on our first album. With zero expectations and just playing together in a room.” – Beak>
